Improving & Refining Prompts
Pretty Prompt has two main functions to improve prompts: Improve or Refine.
What’s the difference between Improve and Refine?
Improve
Improve is the default option when using Pretty Prompt. It will improve and expand your original prompt based on the context of what you’ve written.

Refine
Refine takes it a step further. You will be asked follow up questions (multiple choice answers), to add any missing context to the prompt. Pretty Prompt will take this into account to refine the prompt with more context and less ambiguity.

Note: Both Improve and Refine eat 1 credit each. If you Improve a prompt and then Refine it, this will take 2 credits from your allowance. (Credits reset automatically).
On Refine, the credit is consumed only after you answer the contextual questions.
| Feature | Best for | When to use |
| Improve | One-off Prompts | Fast improvements, no need for further specifications |
| Refine | Getting further context | When you want to make sure you haven't missed anything, or need to go deeper into the prompt |
